Rita Ora’s ‘You & I’ Debuts Top 10, Becomes Star’s Highest Charting Album in Over a Decade

Published: Friday 21st Jul 2023 by Sam

Rita Ora has ample cause to celebrate.

Because her new studio album ‘You & I’ has flown in high on the Official UK Album Chart.

Full story below…

The set, which is home to singles ‘You Only Love Me,’ ‘Praising You’ and ‘Don’t Think Twice,’ has premiered at #6 on the coveted count.

In doing so, it becomes Ora’s highest-charting LP on the tally in over a decade.

The singer’s 2012 debut ‘ORA’ launched at #1, while 2018’s sophomore set ‘Phoenix’ peaked at #11.

‘You & I’ serves as the first fruit of the performer’s freshly minted partnership with BMG; a pact that sees her own her masters.

In an added win, the project takes the #1 spot on the Official Record Store Chart as the most purchased album of the week in independent record shops across the UK.

Gi Rita!

Flop! We’re still waiting on her to dethrone Rihanna like y’all claimed back in the day.

      SCREAMING! lol

I can’t believe ppl thought someone as basic as Rita could dethrone Rihanna.

Rita Ora had potential to be a superstar but she got messy with her former label Roc nation and the lawsuit f;ucked her up. if she played nice, became Jay-z’s little ho, like Rihanna , she’s probably on the same level with Rihanna. Just like Christina milian, the label was trying to give the hit SOS but she refused to record it. So does Tearri Mari, with all the that bad mouth and attitude…. no wonder she got dropped.

Rihanna is the only artist with a personality to pull off SOS. The other women are ur typical basic S E X kittens. And Tearri Mari’s “No Daddy” was a terrible attempt at POP.

Shoulda, woulda, coulda. She didn’t have what it took. Her music was generic and her look was giving very much black fishing/racially ambiguous. They tried and failed. Her only relevance was in UK and she truly wasn’t as huge as people make her to be over there either. She’s lucky she cozied up to Harvey Weinstein and Oprah to get the gigs she has because music wasn’t never gonna get her anywhere. Sorry not sorry.

@Legendary Rita was only doing what was forced on her, because ever since she left Roc Nation she has been consistent with a whole different look and sound. And she may not be a superstar, but she doesn’t have to be as long as she is happy with the results of her work and the response she gets from her fans. Singers all over the world would love just a taste of what Rita gets to experience.

Rita needs to send Rihanna a thank you letter for taking time off so she could get a little shine. Because we all know that she is the Great Value version of Miss Fenty. Rita could never. She better enjoy this while she can.
